罗兰于2013年底加入法国电力集团，负责集团在中国的下游能源业务。他在亚洲的30年职业生涯中（其中一半的时间在中国），主导建立了30家公司，业务涵盖生物质热电联产和生活垃圾处理，城市燃气网络，储能，区域供冷和城市供热，市政照明及电动出行等领域。在他的领导下，第四代数字化工具已广泛应用于法国电力在中国的区域能源项目中。
他领导的最具影响力的项目包括建设英国伯明翰的市政垃圾焚烧厂，建设并运营新加坡滨海湾商业中心的大型区域供冷项目，收购韩国首尔第二大燃气公司并运作上市，在中国开发运营两个工业热电联产项目以及十余个区域供热供冷项目。
他目前同时负责法电中国的新兴业务发展，主要包括数字化，储能和氢能业务。
在山东，法国电力集团正在运营由济南能源集团刚刚完成建设的中央商务区集中供冷项目。此外法国电力还在山东参股了总装机3,210MW的火电项目和一系列新能源项目。
Roland joined EDF late 2013, to spearhead the development of downstream energy projects in China. During his 30 years career in Asia, including 15 years in China, he launched about 30 ventures in the area of Industrial Utilities, City Gas Distribution, Biomass and Waste Cogeneration, Energy Storage, District Heating & Cooling, Public Lighting and E-mobility. Under his leadership, the fourth generation district energy digitalization was developed in all EDF subsidiaries in China.
Most prominent projects were the development of a large waste-to-energy facility in Birmingham – UK, the establishment of a joint venture in Singapore for the Marina South New Downtown District Cooling development, the acquisition and listing of the second largest gas distribution company in Seoul - South Korea, the development and operation of two industrial cogeneration facilities as well as over ten District Heating and Cooling ventures in China.
Roland is now also responsible for EDF China development of new businesses in areas such as digitalization, storage, and hydrogen.
In Shandong, EDF operates the newly built CBD district cooling for its partner Jinan Energy Investment Group and in Shandong EDF invested in 3,210 MW of thermal and renewable power generation.
